Jamie Larsen
Jamie grew up on a farm outside of Wahoo, NE. She graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She attended Briar Cliff University’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program, where she was fortunate enough to be part of the program’s pro bono clinic. Her continuing education courses have been geared towards treating lumbopelvic disorders, as well as sports medicine competencies. Jamie would like to continue building her niche with runners, as well as pain science for those with chronic pain, and will be completing some PRI coursework as well.
She enjoys treating individuals across the lifespan with a holistic approach, valuing the many hats we get to wear as physical therapists. Jamie aspires to pursue mental health in the future so that she can help bridge the gap in practice between treating both the physical and mental/emotional parts of an individual to improve their quality of life.
Jamie currently lives outside of Wahoo and plans to continue coaching track, as well as volleyball, in the future. Giving back to her community is of value to Jamie. She enjoys staying active in her free time with running, lifting, completing HIIT workouts, and playing volleyball. She is the proud aunt of 12 and designated dog sitter (DD) of the family. Getting to visit her family in Oregon, along with other travel adventures throughout the year (such as attending Husker athletic events) keeps her plate full.
